As the winter “blahs” set in, a fixture of the summer party scene will be coming to town to share some fun times. Popular Put-In-Bay entertainer, Ray Fogg, will bring his one-man music/comedy show to Lakewood, OH for a single performance at Georgetown | Vosh on Friday, January 22nd, 2027. Showtime will be at 8:00pm, with doors opening at 7:15pm.
The Detroit News said Fogg “weaves music, comedy and heartfelt songs about island life into an entertaining show.” The Toledo Blade called him a “Island Icon.” Cleveland’s Sun Papers said, “What attracts people to Fogg's shows is his ability to write, and better yet ad lib, edgy comical songs and anecdotes perfectly suited to a beer-drinking crowd."
Ray Fogg has been a favorite at Put-in-Bay (located on Lake Erie’s South Bass Island) for 38 years. Each year he presides over the official opening and closing of the tourist season at the world famous Round House Bar. He spends most of the tourist season holding court on stage at The Reel Bar, a new island venue opened in 2014 in the historic building that housed Tony’s Place.
During the off-season, he performs in Key West and has also appeared frequently in New Orleans as well as Great Lakes towns throughout Michigan and Ohio, where he draws enthusiastic fans hungry for their winter-time Ray Fogg fix.
It’s hard to put a tag on Fogg’s shows. Most leave the show knowing that they have laughed hard and often. But Fogg gets his laughs within clever songs that are not for the kids – adults only! So, some call it a comedy show and some call it a concert. Let’s just say it’s a hell of a lot of fun! Ponder song titles like “Kiss My Bass” and “She Takes Her Teeth Out” and you get the idea.
Fogg is promoting the release of his latest live album, Shut the F*ck Up – Live from Reel Bar. Previous to this release, he has released six albums, five with his band The Swingin’ Lesbian Frogs. All are available through his website at www.rayfogg.net (http://www.rayfogg.net/) or on many online sites.
